Artwork Unveiled on the Battleship New Jersey for the Admiral Halsey Awards Dinner in Camden, NJ

We are sincerely grateful and honored William was commissioned to create a special painting for the fabulous Battleship New Jersey (BB-62). Please enjoy photos of William’s finished painting entitled Firepower for Freedom (36” x 48” – acrylic on canvas – beautifully framed with original USS New Jersey 1943 teak deck boards). This important, multi-layered painting was unveiled at the 2nd Annual Admiral Halsey Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 11th, in Camden, NJ.

That evening, incredible leaders were celebrated, and the Master of Ceremonies was ESPN’s talented Sal Paolantonio. Also, many of the attendees were members of the military (both active and veterans – and all heroes!). We were especially honored by how all attending were so moved by William’s painting as well as his speech in regard to the artwork. Each layer has such important meaning.

The Battleship New Jersey leadership is using an online auction site whereby the highest bidder will receive William’s painting, and all of the funds raised will go directly to the great work of the Battleship New Jersey. This auction is extended until May 23rd (which is the Battleship New Jersey 80th birthday) at 8pm. The opening bid for their auction for William’s powerful painting is $7,000, and the Buy Now option is $50,000: or

Special thanks to Honorable Mayor Victor Carstarphen, Honorable Patricia Egan Jones, Honorable Former Governor Christie Todd Whitman, Lisa Conti, Marshall Spevak, Phil Rowan, Brian Bauerle, and all the incredible members of the Board of Trustees for the Battleship New Jersey.
