William’s Painting Titled Beauty For Ashes – Auctioned to Raise $4,000 for Urban Promise International – Malibu, CA

William recently created a meaningful painting titled Beauty for Ashes (18” x 22” – acrylic on canvas framed) based on Isa. 61. This stunning painting has important meaning as William created this during his own recent health journey (from being very ill to healed) as well as what all those in Los Angeles/Malibu have endured with the horrific fires most recently in January. The suffering continues in LA, and we continue to boldly pray for all those here. Yet there is hope which we are physically experiencing as we now view the cliffs and hills of Malibu bursting forth in new life (flourishing colorful flowers and vivid green plants leading into the bright blue Pacific Ocean). What a story of God’s restoration (beauty for ashes) over William and over LA/Malibu!

William and I were honored to be included in Urban Promise International’s (UPI) Gala on the evening of Tuesday, May 6th, at lovely Geoffreys, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean in Malibu. It was a fabulous event where amazing UPI leaders from Africa as well as amazing UP leaders from LA shared touching stories on how their incredible work is transforming lives of youth and families (and other amazing UPI & UP leaders from the US, Canada, and across the globe attended this event too).

In our prayer time earlier, William and I were led to donate Beauty for Ashes to UPI and to Bruce and Pamela Main, tremendous leaders with generous hearts who have helped bring lasting transformation (beauty for ashes) to lives in Camden and throughout the world. Bruce was kind to allow William to speak at the event where he shared about the making of this artwork and about our connection to UP/UPI and their fabulous work. And how all of the provision raised from the auctioning of this artwork would go directly to their incredible work.

We are truly blessed as William’s Beauty for Ashes raised $4,000 for UPI. We are honored as Mindy Holman was the top bidder. Mindy is a tremendous leader with a servant heart. Her generosity has blessed countless lives in Camden, the South Jersey region, and throughout the world.
