Camden has a new destination – The Camden ArtBox! Experience the Camden ArtBox at Camden’s 3rd Thursday Art Crawl on Thursday, October 15th, from 4-8pm. The Camden ArtBox has a new temporary location at the historical Ruby Match Factory located on the corner of Delaware and Linden Streets in Camden (across the street from the Campbell’s Field and the Rutgers Soccer Field).

The Camden ArtBox is a shipping container transformed into a public creative arts space allowing all to enjoy multiple creative and artistic events. The Camden ArtBox’s exterior is a four-sided community mural arts space, and the interior is a professional art gallery.
.
On October 15th, the Camden ArtBox will feature Camden Beautiful, an exhibit of black and white representational paintings by William, who lives and works in Camden and has been moved to sketch and paint its beauty. Also, Fresh Artists’ Silly City Program with Ignite is an innovative display of work from North Camden children interpreting their built environment using recycled materials and lots of moxie. Come experience these exhibits and our beautiful city.
.
In the future, the Camden ArtBox will continue to showcase other art exhibits as well as other creative art activities. The Camden ArtBox will continue to be a public creative arts space and experience for all in Camden.
We were thrilled to unveil the Camden ArtBox at the Camden Jam Festival at Roosevelt Park (in front of City Hall) on Saturday, September 19th.  The Camden Jam was a great success, and we were honored to be partnered with this event. More than a thousand people (mostly residents of Camden) walked through the professional gallery where Camden Public Schools’ high school students’ art was exhibited (with some of William’s art), and hundreds experienced the interactive chalkboard and murals on the exterior of the Camden ArtBox. Enjoy photos of the creativity in and around the Camden ArtBox.

We are honored our proposal for this large public arts project in Camden (the Camden ArtBox) was chosen by the Connect the Lots (CTL) leadership. We are blessed to continue to be working with an incredible team of Richard, Susan & the CTL team, Sarah, Enrique, Meishka, Tori & the Cooper’s Ferry Partnership team, and the leadership at Athenian Razak. Also, we are sincerely thankful to Joey and his team at Keepin It Classy for the Camden ArtBox gallery’s beautiful transformation.
