25 Oct Invited Guests to the Library of Congress Congressional Dialogue – Washington, DC
We are incredibly honored and grateful our Honorable Congressman Donald Norcross invited William to attend a Congressional Dialogue with him at the stunning Library of Congress in Washington, DC, on July 10th. The event featured a discussion with Walter Isaacson, author of Leonardo da Vinci, during a fabulous dinner. Also, a special display of historical items from Leonardo da Vinci were brought out from the Library of Congress and experts spoke about the artifacts. That evening, a space opened up so I (Ronja) was able to attend this spectacular event as well.
We are extremely thankful to Congressman Donald Norcross for inviting us to attend as his guests. We still do not have the words to express our thanks as we are so very honored. This was a spectacular event, and we truly appreciate all of the time we were able to spend with our Congressman including an amazing tour of the Library of Congress & the United States Capitol with him.
His words about William are so very kind and we are grateful and humbled: “It’s great to have Camden’s own William Butler as my guest at the historic Library of Congress. On top of the work he creates to beautify the city of Camden, he finds the time each year to help choose a piece of art created by a local student to represent South Jersey and hang in the US Capitol for one year (William is the juror for the Congressional Art Competition for our Congressional District). William is undoubtedly committed to our future artists and our current neighborhoods.”
These words appeared in the Anointed New Journal which is Camden’s newspaper led by the incredible Chris Collins, CEO and Editor-in-Chief. Special thanks to Chris for including an article on this event. For more information on the Anointed, please view: http://www.anointedonline.net
We marvel God would have allowed us to be invited guests to attend this event with our Honorable Congressman and to be among all of the members of the United States Congress and their guests. We are truly thankful to Congressman Norcross for his kindness to us, his generous heart, and his service to all.
Also, special thanks to the incredible: Mary Cruz, the District Director for Congressman Donald Norcross, Lara Weinstein, Director of Operations and Scheduling, and Michael Maitland, Chief of Staff for Congressman Norcross.
