Renewal #3 Painting – Auctioned for $3,500 – Malibu, CA

William recently created paintings titled Renewal (12” x 24” – acrylic on canvas) en plein aire. This lovely area in Malibu was tragically destroyed by wildfires only a few years ago. Yet now these cliffs are bursting forth in new life & beauty. What a story of God’s renewal!

William & I were honored to be included in Urban Promise International’s (UPI) Gala on Tuesday, May 7th, at Geoffreys, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean in Malibu. It was a fabulous event where amazing UPI leaders from Nigeria & Malawi shared touching stories on how their incredible work is transforming lives of youth & families in those nations (and other amazing UPI leaders from the US, Canada, and across the globe attended this event too).

In our prayer time, William and I were led to donate Renewal #3 to UPI and to Bruce and Pamela Main, tremendous leaders with generous hearts who have helped bring lasting transformation to lives in Camden and throughout the world. Bruce was very kind to allow William to speak at the event where he shared about the making of this art & how all of the provision raised from the auction would go directly to UPI.

We are truly blessed as William’s art raised $3,500 for UPI! Mindy Holman was the top bidder. Mindy is a tremendous leader with a servant heart. Her generosity has blessed countless lives in Camden and throughout the world! Yet when we all heard how the other top bidder, Michael Hainkel, was really touched by this art especially as he & his wife, Jill, had lost their home in the fires of Malibu, it was agreed that Michael & Jill would have this painting, and both Mindy & Michael worked out the payment to UPI for the art. Michael & Jill are also tremendous leaders who have generous hearts. To see this selfless generosity from Mindy as well as Michael & Jill was a true blessing for William & me to witness!

We were blown away by all God did throughout this event, our time with UPI, and with Bruce & Pamela Main (both fabulous & humble leaders)! We even miraculously saw Pamela days earlier in Beverly Hills when we were working/ministering there (we had no idea she was preaching at a church a block from where we parked)!
