William’s objective for Cooper: Brilliant Legacy & Thriving Destiny was to create a dynamic and engaging artwork celebrating Cooper’s legacy of excellence as well as its thriving destiny with the important future expansion of Cooper University Health Care which demonstrates their continued commitment to and faith in Camden, its residents, and shared future together.
William’s painting, Cooper: Brilliant Legacy & Thriving Destiny, was created with multiple layers intending to bring honor to the successes of Cooper (and to Camden, NJ too). Also, William intentionally created this painting to be bold and colorful revealing how Cooper (and Camden) is expanding with an exciting future. William used vibrant colors, bold shapes, and sweeping brush strokes to reveal how Cooper will continue to bring excellence in healthcare as well as expansive beauty to the landscape and skyline of Camden.
Cooper University Health Care’s mission is to serve, heal, and educate. This mission is creatively included in one of the first layers of the painting with the words: SERVE, HEAL, and EDIFY. These words were painted large and vertically on the canvas to reveal how Cooper’s important mission will prosper even more in the future.
William used bold colors and dominant brush strokes to inscribe the logos for Cooper University Health Care and for MD Anderson Cancer Center on each side of the painting. This was designed to communicate the strategic partnership and importance of Cooper and MD Anderson and how their continued unity is creating a thriving future for Camden.
